Formation of Heart
The motto of the school focuses on shaping the deepest core — the heart — as a dwelling place of Divine Love, replacing self-centredness with the virtues of gentleness, compassion, love and service.

The Four Virtues
A heart formed at St. Luigi School is formed in four things, taught less by instruction than by example.
Compassion
Seeing another’s need before your own, as St. Luigi did for the orphaned and forgotten children of his city.
Love
The fire at the centre of the school crest. Every child is received as a “gift” of Providence, and formed for self-reliance.
Service
Learning turned outward — knowledge that becomes useful to somebody other than the person who holds it.
